Jean Théodore Namy
(d. 1808)
Jean Théodore Namy worked for Salomon's widow starting in 1772. He established himself independently in place du Louvre in 1788. L'Abbé Sibire named him in La Chelenomie as an exceptional repairer. His own creations were rare, but they generally exhibited Stradivarian proportions, featured a very fine orange oil varnish, and included a particularly delicately cut scroll. He branded his work on the upper back with `J. T. N. '.
