Edward Lewis II
Violin maker
(1687 – 1745)
Edward Lewis was the presumed son and successor of Edward Lewis (I). Various addresses in London were provided, with Drury Lane being the only one that was easily decipherable on manuscript labels. He made Stainer-modelled violins. Sometimes, they were branded on the back button and on the table on the bass side of the tailpiece with `E L'.
