Alfredo Gianotti learned the basic craft while a prisoner of war in the USA from 1943, with guidance from R. Bechini. He received awards in Pegli and Rome in 1956, Cremona in 1967, and Bagnacavallo in 1976. His work featured good quality with red or darker red varnish.
