Carl Zach
Violin maker

Carl Zach was the son and successor of Thomas Zach. In 1897, he founded the Carl Zach Company, which had offices in Budapest, Mannheim, and Darmstadt. He developed a system for processing and impregnating tonewood in collaboration with Professor Ernest Fleischer, who was acknowledged on some labels. His work on the Stradivari model was characterized by very fine finishing and accuracy.
