Edmond Daniel was the son of Charles Daniel and worked for Gand in Paris. Later, he took over his father's business in Marseilles at a new address, 5 rue Paradis, until after 1852. He specialized in wind instruments, and violins with his label were likely the work of Charles Plumerel.
