Joseph Paul Christa

Joseph Paul Christa worked in Munich from around 1730. He was probably a pupil of Alletsee, whose style he closely followed. His instruments featured high arches and were well constructed, although they had a very dark brown, unattractive varnish. He made fine viola d'amores.
