Otto Migge established a violin making school in Koblenz in 1880, known as Atelier für Cremoneser Geigenbaukunst. He worked in London starting in 1896 and moved to Eastbourne, Sussex in 1908. He authored a book titled The Secret of the celebrated Italian Violin makers, discovered and explained, published by Fischbacher in Frankfurt in 1894.
