Charles Le Lyonnais apprenticed with E. Audinot in Mirecourt. He established himself in Nantes in 1913. After completing military service from 1914 to 1918, he renewed his activities in Nantes and collaborated with D. Chenantais. He received second prize at an exhibition in Paris in 1921. His models were derived from Stradivari, showcasing fine workmanship and materials with red-brown varnish.
