Pietro Antonio Bellone
Violin maker
(fl. 1684 – 1699)
Pietro Antonio Bellone was known as `il Pescorino. ' Henley described him as a rare maker belonging to the Brescian school, primarily due to the large soundholes and full arching. An example from the Schambach Collection at Yale University featured inlaid mother of pearl discs around the edges. The scroll was small and quite delicate, and the varnish was golden-brown. The wood of the table was rather coarse.
