Jacques Wolfgang Hakkert
(1891 – 1918)
Jacques Wolfgang Hakkert was the son of Philipp Hakkert and trained in Mirecourt with Didier. He worked in Düsseldorf for L Otto and in Cologne for J. Lülsdorf, then briefly in London and Paris before establishing himself in Rotterdam in 1918. He was appointed luthier to the Amsterdam Conservatoire in 1913. His classical models featured a slightly coarse finish but utilized fine materials. He also made bows.
