Edgar Bishop apprenticed to William Retford at the firm of W.E. Hill & Sons alongside Albert Leeson after WWI ended in 1918, and the two became the cantankerous Retford's favorite ...Read More pupils. Bishop and Leeson worked together on the department's most revered and demanding projects, including the spectacular gold 'fleur de lys' bows.
