Alexander Thoma was active from 1887. He was the son and pupil of Jacob Thoma. In 1889, he accompanied his father to Boston and took over his business in 1917. He was appointed as the repairer for the Boston Symphony Orchestra. In 1940, he moved to Dorchester.
