Andreas Rieger I



(1836 – after 1896)

Andreas Rieger was the son and pupil of Joseph Rieger. He worked for Bauer in Stuttgart before moving to Munich in 1870. In 1889, he married the daughter of Fiorini and became his partner in 1892, succeeding him in Munich in 1896. He was a respected connoisseur and restorer. Late in his career, he made some instruments. He retired in 1896 and returned to Mittenwald.
