Mathias Riedele

Mathias Riedele was a pupil of G. F. Wenger. His style was similar and based on the Stainer model. The workmanship and finish were neat. Soundholes were set close to the edge and upright. He featured a finely carved concentric scroll and used a dark intransparent varnish. Known works included violas, cellos, and small pattern double basses. Manuscript labels were also present.
