Marianus Petz
(1742 – 1787)
Marianus Petz was the successor to J. F. Leidolf in Vienna in 1760. He established himself independently from 1775. The instrument featured a high-arched Stainer model with a long pegbox topped by a small, neatly carved, and concentric volute. It had a very dark, thin, and opaque varnish.
