Eduard (Ede) Paduch
(b. 1876)
Eduard (Ede) Paduch studied under P. Pilat in Budapest and A. Diehl in Hamburg. He established himself independently in Budapest. His work featured very fine and accurate craftsmanship based on the Stradivari model, with shaded varnish in the style of Vuillaume. A beautiful example illustrated by Benedek showcased a classical figure with vine laurel carved in low relief on the back. He signed internally: `Gebaut/ Eduard Paduch / 1912 Budapest. ' A printed label read: Eduard Paduch / Budapest 1906.
