The pegbox replaced. Bearing an apocryphal inscription to the inside back, "M G." Branded to the lower rib.
Back: in two pieces of quarter sawn maple with attractive flame of medium width descending from the centre joint.
Top: in two pieces of spruce with grain of narrow width.
Scroll: of plainer maple with a replacement pegbox.
Ribs: of similar wood.
Varnish: of a golden brown colour.
Length of back: 35.5 cm
Upper bouts: 16.1 cm
Middle bouts: 11.3 cm
Lower bouts: 20.3 cm
