"One hesitates to say that this violin is a copy of Nicolo Paganini's Joseph Del Gesu of 1742, it certainly is a copy of the late period. The masculinity of the head and 'F' holes point that way, the scroll settles down onto the pegbox in a way that only Joseph knew how and at the same time retain our admiration for his work.
