Charles Buthod

Charles Buthod worked for Vuillaume in Paris before joining Husson in Mirecourt, where he established an extensive workshop. Initially, the firm was known as Husson, Buthod et Thibouville, producing approximately 1250 instruments each year with a large workforce. It later became Thibouville-Lamy, with Buthod serving as Director. The instruments were crafted in three grades based on Stradivari models, utilizing various varnish tints often shaded in an antique style, and fine silver-mounted bows were stamped.
