Christian Frederik Larsen, born in Odense on March 16th, 1846, was the son of Lars Christian Henric Larsen. He took over the family business with his brother Wilhelm (1848 - 1919) after their father's death in 1866. Larsen created an original model of musical instrument, which was branded 'Odense / Larsen / zB 1887 zB. 130'. However, the work was considered mediocre, utilizing poor varnish and materials. He passed away on September 20th, 1911.
