Sebastien Vuillaume was the son and pupil of Claude-François Vuillaume (V). He worked for his uncle, Jean-Baptiste. He established himself independently at 27 boulevard Bonne-Nouvelle, Paris, around 1867. He received bronze and silver medals at the Paris Exhibitions of 1867 and 1868.
