                                    (1904 – 1982)

Leandro Bisiach was the son of Leandro Bisiach (I) and worked alongside his brother Giacomo, both instructed by I. Sderci in Siena during and after their father's tenure at the Accademia Chigiana from 1921 to 1924. After completing military service, Leandro (II) returned to his father's workshop in Milan in 1926, and by 1932, he was established with his brother Giacomo, operating from 1934 at 27 Corso Magenta. They left in 1943 to spend the remainder of the Second World War in their father's retreat in Venegono, but returned immediately afterward. Leandro played a leading role in managing the business and crafting new instruments, with the workshop including their former master Sderci and his son Luciano, as well as C. Mandelli, P. Parravicini, and G. Stefanini. Stradivari and various classical models characterized the style and level of finish typical of the Bisiach family work. He exhibited in Cremona in 1937 and served as a teacher at the school of violin making there, frequently acting as a juror at international exhibitions and competitions of violin making. He retired to Venegono in 1973.
