Willibald Conrad Stenger

Willibald Conrad Stenger was active in Topeka, Kansas, from 1903 and in Chicago, Illinois, from 1909 to 1942. His models were derived from Guarneri. The best quality instruments were labelled 'W. C. Stenger', while others bore the label 'Victor Stenger'. He used his own oil varnish and European wood. Over 375 instruments were completed, exhibiting variable workmanship. He became a bow maker in 1920 and utilized the Tourte model.
