Igino Sderci trained as a wood carver and was initially self-taught as a violin maker before becoming a pupil of L. Bisiach in Sienna during World War I. He later moved to Florence in 1926, where he frequently collaborated with Carlo Bisiach and taught Bisiach's sons.
