Gustav Fassauer Ferron
(1875 – 1951)
Gustav Fassauer Ferron studied with Oswald Schaller and emigrated to the USA in 1895. He was associated with Kroeplin in Chicago from 1908 to 1927. In 1933, he moved to Pasadena, California, and subsequently retired to Altadena, California. His instruments featured a Guarneri model with shaded orange-brown varnish. About 80 instruments were recorded. Bows were imported from Europe and branded: 'FERRON & KROEPLIN. '.
