Giuseppe Ferrari

Giuseppe Ferrari was a trained musician inspired by E. Sofritti, a pupil of A. Gotti in violin making. He was active in Rome from around 1949, creating instruments in the Neapolitan style as well as other classical models. His work featured a fine golden red soft spirit varnish. He exhibited in Milan in 1953 and presented a violin, viola, and cello at the first Cremona Biennale in 1965. The manuscript label read: Ferrari Giuseppe da Ferrara fece in Roma 1951.
