Karl (Károly) (Charles) Ferenczy-Tomasowsky, nephew of Sandor Ferenczy, apprenticed with Zach in Vienna before moving to Berlin in 1888 and later to Rotterdam in 1895. In 1902, he emigrated to New York, where he died the same year. He was employed by Schunda, producing a significant number of instruments for his label, and received first prize for bows in The Hague. Ferenczy-Tomasowsky created refined work based on the Stradivari model, characterized by deep red oil varnish with fine craquelure and excellent materials. His brand appeared on the back interior and upper block: 'K. T. Ferenczy.'
