Ferdinand Wilhelm Jaura apprenticed to his uncle Wilhelm Jaura in 1905. He established himself independently in Vienna from 1917 and in Munich from 1940. He was credited with 1, 500 stringed instruments of all kinds, all showcasing refined craftsmanship.
