Violin maker

Otto Seifert worked as a pupil of A. Bruckner. He was employed by R. Heckel in Dresden, Bittner in Vienna, and Rieger in Munich. He established himself independently in Berlin from 1896 and in Liibben from 1927. His early work focused on traditional Tyrolean models. From 1897 to 1927, he collaborated with Dr. M. Grossman in Berlin under the business name 'Neu-Cremona, ' applying Grossman's principles of plate tuning. He built according to Dr. Grossman's theory with resonance plates tuned in quintal relationships in Berlin, 1899.
