Oswald Weidlich studied under H. Gläsel. He later worked for L. Otto in Düsseldorf. In 1886, he established a business in Budapest with his brother Anton Ernst, who was a wind instrument maker. He subsequently worked alone on Soroksári Street, then at 9 Kecskeméti Street from 1892 to 1896, assisted by L. Bohák. A gold medal was awarded for a quartet in Paris in 1900.
