Johann Christian Voigt II
Violin maker
(1766 – 1846)
Johann Christian Voigt was the son and pupil of Johann Friedrich Voigt (I). He was admitted to the luthiers' guild in 1792. His instruments were of mediocre quality, featuring high arches and small scrolls. The soundholes were positioned close to the narrow and uneven edge. He labeled his work 'from Prague' and branded it.
