William Booth worked actively from 1809 after previously being employed as a hairdresser. He was at 57 Mill Hill from 1809 to 1823, at 15 Call Lane around 1830, and at 5 Mark Lane around 1845. His violins featured Amati-inspired models and occasional 'long pattern' Stradivari designs with red-brown varnish. The work was rather unexceptional.
