Joseph R. Bertet
Violin maker
(fl. 1764)
Joseph R. Bertet worked in Paris before establishing himself in Nantes at the sign 'Au Roi David'. His craftsmanship was good, although the instruments he produced were considered unexceptional. They featured a thick yellow varnish and included large violas with a body length of 44 cm. Bertet died after 1780.
