Edward Keenan made instruments based on Stradivari and Guarneri models. The scrolls were outlined in black, and they featured a yellow-brown varnish. Some instruments utilized local materials. He won first prize in Dublin in 1913. The instruments were crafted in Dublin in the year 1918.
