Joseph Alexis Tournier was a Paris-based maker known for crafting violins, violas, cellos, and guitars. His work included a guitar located in the Musee de la Musique in Paris, branded as 'J. Tournier, a Paris'. He was the father of Henri Tournier. Bows produced for the Tournier family, stamped 'J. Tournier' or 'J. Tournier Paris', were made by notable bow makers including Louis Bazin, Louis Morizot, and E.A. Ouchard, while gold mounted bows were crafted by Victor Fetique.
