Ferdinand Joseph Homolka was a pupil of his brother Emmanuel Adam Homolka. He worked in Stary Bydzov (Neu Bydschow), Czech Republic, starting in 1837, and from 1843 at Kutná Hora. His work included various personal and classical models with some eccentricities, and he used dark red or yellow varnish.
