Pierre Jean Henri Hel was a violin and bow maker, the son, pupil, and successor of the French maker Joseph Hel of Lille. His work gained international recognition when Georges Enesco played one of his violins during a US tour in 1924. Additionally, his violins were performed by other celebrated violinists, including Eugène Ysaÿe and Jacques Thibaud.
