Johann Nepomuk Bina

Johann Nepomuk Bina studied under F. Lehner. He later worked for various makers in Austria and Hungary. He established himself in Prague in 1853. His professional work was characteristic of the Prague school. The soundholes were rather large and extended. He produced various classical models, including long-pattern Stradivari and Amati. His double basses featured a viol form with a Viennese-style festooned pegbox profile.
