Labeled, "Carlo Bisiach di Leandro Milanese, fece in Firenze l'Anno 1926." Signed to the label.
LOB: 35.5 cm
This violin, exactly 100 years old this year, reflects the refined, elegant styling for which Carlo Bisiach is well known. In its details, the instrument shows the collaboration of Igino Sderci, whose hand is evident in the cleanly articulated model, confident arching, and precise edgework. The varnish, typical of and unique to Bisiach, is a transparent orange-red of even texture. This instrument is a testament to the successful partnership between Bisiach’s direction and Sderci’s execution, producing instruments of consistently fine quality and elegance.
