Labeled, "Jean Baptiste Vuillaume à Paris, 3, Rue Demours-Ternes."

Signed and inscribed to the inside back, "74" and "2974." Branded to the inside top and back, "Vuillaume."
The neck original.

This violin belonged to Xander Wadman, leader of the second violins of the Noord Nederlands Orkest and formerly its deputy concertmaster. A student of the Concertgebouw leader Herman Krebbers, Xander joined the NNO at 20 and played uninterrupted for 44 years. Additionally, he sometimes substituted in the Concertgebouw Orkest. The violin is being sold by his widow, Georgian pianist Nino Khutsishvili.
