About the role:

Tarisio’s General Manager role is a critical operations leadership role that is responsible and has ownership for New York’s day-to-day site operations, strategic and financial operations. The General Manager is also responsible for leading and managing our New York team, auction production, and workshop operations. Additionally, the General Manager will be tasked to develop a systematized workstream for the project management of our global inbound inventory consignments.. The General Manager is the glue that binds the office together. The General Manager will report to Tarisio’s COO.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Establish strong and detailed site performance standards
  • Oversee on-site client operations both during sale and non-sale periods
  • Develop a systemized workstream for the project management of our inbound inventory consignments
  • Project manage our global inbound inventory consignments
  • Build continuous improvement culture
  • Lead & manage day-to-day team and  site operations including auction preparation, organization, production. Inclusive, but not limited to client service, logistics, photography, workshop, condition reporting, and cataloging
  • Auction management through our internal systems
  • Establish site’s strategic priorities: financial, tactical, and growth
  • Support Private Sales operations
  • Inspire team’s career development, and goal setting
  • Develop reporting packages for Senior Management team
  • Manage Tarisio’s Luthier workshop for both production and non-production needs
  • Build and support office culture

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Client service focused and the  ability to understand client’s  complex needs
  • Proven track record of managing teams and people
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Changed agent
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work with our internal computer systems, GSuite, and email
  • Auction and musical instrument knowledge a plus, but not required

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in leading and managing diverse teams.  Auction house or eCommerce work a plus
  • Proven experience creating and implementing strategies for business growth
  • Love for musical instruments and their history a plus!

Annual Salary Rage: Starting at $120,000 + Annual Bonus
