Branded to the inside top, back, upper block and lower rib, "Giuseppe Ornati Milano."
Back: in two pieces of quarter cut maple with broad-width flame descending from the center seam.
Top: in two pieces of spruce with medium-width grain broadening toward the edges.
Ribs: and head of similar wood.
Varnish: of a dark reddish-brown color.
Length of back: 35.7 cm
Upper bouts: 16.7 cm
Middle bouts: 11.5 cm
Lower bouts: 20.6 cm
