Inscribed to the inside top, "Enrico Marchetti fece in Torino quest'opera nell 'anno 1911 per la sua cara moglie Laura dedicato ad essa ogni pensiero tuo Enrico. Torino 9/12-1911" (Enrico Marchetti made this work in Turin in the year 1911 for his dear wife Laura. Every thought dedicated to her, your Enrico. Turin 9/12-1911).
Back: in two pieces of un-figured quarter cut maple with faint broad-width flame descending from the centre joint towards the edges.
Top: in two pieces of spruce with medium-width grain, slightly broadening towards the edges.
Scroll: of similar wood to the back
Ribs: of similar wood to the back.
Varnish: of a golden reddish brown colour.
