Labeled, "Casa Fondata Nel 1690, Francesco Guadagnini fu Antonio, Fece Torino Anno 1898" and branded internally: "F. Guadagnini Torino", and signed internally on the centre back: "F. Guadagnini Torino 1898". Further branded in the peg box.

Notes:

"This remarkable cello is in almost perfect condition, liberally covered in a rich red varnish. The cello even retains its original tailpiece and pegs and is sold with a bridge made by Paulo Guadagnini."
