Notes:
"Not seen in Europe for many years, and evidently unknown to the Hills in 1931 when their book on Guarneri was published, it is stunning both in condition and appearance. It is the only known 'del Gesu' violin to be made from beechwood. . . In unblemished condition, this is possibly the ultimate player's instrument."Treasures under the spotlight, John Dilworth, The Strad, February, 2010, London
