Notes:
"Mr Möller in a recent letter to the Editor mentions that it is the finest Joseph he has met. He first made its acquaintance several years ago when it was entrusted to his firm for some minor repairs. He goes on to describe his enthusiasm and pleasure when, on opening it, he discovered that there were no repairs, patch, or work of any kind done to the interior."A Violin by Joseph Guarnerius del Gesu, Cremona, 1735, The Strad, May, 1946, London
