Certificates & Documents
- Certificate: P. & H. Perret, Katonah, NY (1997)
- Certificate: Kenneth Warren & Son, Chicago, IL (1997)
- Certificate: John & Arthur Beare, London (1970) "Around the middle of the last century this viola evidently came to a Parisian workshop, most probably either that of Georges Chanot or J.B. Vuillaume. Its appearance was altered to resemble that of a Stradivari viola inasmuch as the edges and purfling were changed, the soundholes slightly adapted, and a new scroll added. The viola bears a label of Carlo Bergonzi, which may have been added at the same time. The viola is nevertheless a first class Italian instrument . . ."
