Back: Two-piece of irregularly figured maple

Top: of fine-grained spruce

Scroll: not by Stradivari; probably by a member of the Gagliano family

Varnish: Orange-brown, widely retouched

Length of back: 35.65 cm

Upper bouts: 16.8 cm

Middle bouts: 11.4 cm

Lower bouts: 20.7 cm


Notes:

"The instrument was in Russia already in 1806 and was restored the same year by the Petersburg maker Steiniger."
