"Dem 'Citizen' zufolge hat Dr. Duncan aus London, 7 Wimpole Street, ein grosser Liebhaber und Sammler von Geigen, kürzlich eine erfolgreiche Tour durch Italien gemacht. In Ameglia fand derselb im Besitye der Wittwe von L. G. Germi, eines vertrauten Freunde von Paganini, ein Violoncell und vier Geigen, die der gross Künstler zu seinem Lebzeiten gespielt. Da an der Echtheit des Instrumente nicht der geringste Zweifel erhoben werden konnte, so kaufte Dr. Duncan dieselben zusammen mit noch einige Original-Compositionen Paganini's, die sich ebenfalls in Besitz der Wittwe befanden."Aufgefundene Instrumente von Paganini, Paul de Wit, Zeitschrift für Instrumentenbau, Leipzig
