Top: of fine grain

Scroll: of wide curl

Ribs: of wood similar to back

Varnish: Dark reddish-brown

Length of back: 36.2 cm

Upper bouts: 16 cm

Middle bouts: 10.8 cm

Lower bouts: 20 cm

"This remarkably preserved 'Long Strad' may logically be called 'The Burgundy' because of its sparkling, powerful tone and the fact that it once was owned by a wine merchant."
